Conscious Care and Support (CCS) is an integrative model of support designed to complete the bio-psycho-social framework alongside traditional approaches inclusive of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI). CCS is also a recognized course offered through The University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies.
For Whom: Direct Support Professionals, Team Leaders, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Paid and Unpaid Supporters, Caregivers and Family Members.
Rooted within The Situational Leadership® Model, Mindful and Emotionally Mature Managing offers leadership and management training based on the employee's ability/skill level and willingness of contribution/motivation.
This training also unfolds the absolute necessity of recognizing the importance of self-reflection, self-awareness and mindful, emotional self-regulation within roles of leadership.
For Whom: Directors, Administrators and Managers
A Centre for Conscious Care can provide a 3 hr. or 8 hr. introductory workshop on Conscious Care and Support to various regional family networks or family-to-family support groups.
We also offer one-on-one coaching to families supporting a loved one with a developmental disability or autism with ten essential daily support activities to lower the frequency of expressions of anxiety, agitation and aggression.
For Whom: Families supporting a loved one who has a developmental disability or autism.
Conscious Classrooms has been designed to complement the existing primarily Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) skills learning approach for Ontario students who have special needs. This multidisciplinary model is based in part on the Ziggurat process - the most researched and recognized model to teach students with special needs to be found throughout North America and adopted by numerous States and Provinces.
For Whom: Teachers, Educational Assistants and Educational Leaders
A Centre for Conscious Care can provide training and consultation to support teams of those who have a developmental disability or autism who rely on supported activity and supported living arrangements.
Team coaching can also be arranged to assist in the implementation process of Conscious Care and Support identified by the team or A Centre for Conscious Care to meet the specific needs of person supported and their family.
For Whom: Direct Support Professionals, Paid and Unpaid Supporters and Team Leaders.
We provide training in developing and implementing effective Support Plans based on a lens of complete and integrated services offered in Ontario.
A Centre for Conscious Care can also assist in the coordination of community resources, various assessments and treatment services (e.g. biomedicine, fitness, nutrition).
We also offer an additional perspective in the process of the preparation and/or modification of support plans for people who have a developmental disability or autism and who experience levels of high risk expressions of agitation, anxiety, anger and/or aggression.
